Women Power Boot Camp
This camp is specifically designed to provide a comfortable setting for women who want to have the knowledge to take control of their home purchase experience.
This camp will focus on the largest growing group of home buyers nationwide, women. During Boot Camp we will set the right expectations of the home buying process and provide you with the knowledge of "what comes next." It will also help you identify unethical lending practices that may be used to "single" you out. We will teach you the obvious and not-so-obvious indicators of problems existing in the homes you are evaluating during your search period.
In addition, we have a clear explanation of the loan process, including descriptions of home loan programs that are designed specifically to give the first time, move up or downsizing female buyer additional choices. Learn how credit scores affect your purchase power, how to protect yourself from erroneous debts and identity theft that can cripple your credit report.
We also will provide you with the knowledge to know what a lender should provide to you and what you are expected to supply to a lender. Did you know that you do not need to provide your social security number or fill out an application to get a loan program quote? And did you know that ALL lenders should provide you with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) in writing for each program that you are quoted? Do you know how to compare GFEs to determine which loan program best fits your purchase requirements? If not, you will by the end of boot camp.
We will also introduce you to the steps to protect yourself prior to closing on your purchase: various home inspections, the role of the home buyer's attorney, the importance of surveys, homeowner insurance differences, and extended home warranties.
